Women's Club of Milton

On Monday, October 10, the Women's Club of Milton joined Friends of the Milton Library to honor Mary Catherine Hopkins upon her retirement from the Milton Public Library.

Mary has served the Milton Public Library for over 56 years. Through many of those years, Mary has partnered with the Women's Club of Milton to address the needs of local schoolchildren in their pursuit of learning.

Mary Catherine has been a member of the Milton Lions Club and the Milton Ladies Fire Auxiliary for 25 years.  When asked about future plans, she said she plans to rest for a bit then visit family in Florida.  Her coworkers said they will miss her dearly.

The WCOM presented Mary with a gift basket featuring a "Library Building" from its Dickens Village Collection among other items. We appreciate all she has done for the town of Milton and wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement.
